Here at high altitude and with the sunny days of Santa Fe, it is very important to protect your skin from the sun's rays all year long. We are pleased to offer our clients with a selection of great hats and sunscreens.
Hats: We have a selection of hats from Physicians Endorsed and Coolibar. Both offer hats made from protective fabric, a "UPF50+". The Ultraviolet Protection Factor (or "UPF") rating system measures the UV protection provided by fabric. It is very similar to the SPF rating system used for sunscreens. A garment with a UPF of 50 only allows 1/50th of the UV radiation falling on the surface of the garment to pass through it. In other words, it blocks 49/50ths or 98% of the UV radiation. All Physicians Endorsed and Coolibar hats carried at Eden Medispa have a rating of UPF 50+, which is the highest possible rating.
Sunscreens: We carry a number of great sunscreens, all with multiple physical sunblock ingredients to protect your skin from both UVA and UVB rays. This includes our tinted sunscreens, both Eden’s own Melashade and Revision Skincare's Intellishade, and the Obagi C-Sunguard from the CRx product line.
