Microdermabrasion
Microdermabrasion is a form of skin resurfacing and can help to improve the texture and appearance of the skin. Over time, the aging process result in increasing fine lines, changes in pigmentation, and a "dull" appearance. Microdermabrasion can be used to:
- rejuvenate sun damaged skin,
- reduce blotchy, or irregular skin coloring,
- reduce age spots, and
- improve overall skin health
Microdermabrasion is often used in combination with chemical peels, facials, the Fraxel laser or Intense Pulse Light (Photofacial) therapy to achieve optimal results.
At Eden Medispa, we use the DiamondTome microdermabrasion system to gently and effectively remove the surface layer of the skin resulting in a smoother and brighter appearance to the skin. The DiamondTome system is safe, clean and effective, and is preferable to many other microdermabrasion systems because there are no loose crystals or other abrasives that contaminate you or the environment. The diamond wand tip size and vacuum settings are chosen to insure uniform results in your exfoliation process. The wand will then be gently drawn over the treatment area to remove the topmost layer, leaving your skin appearing smoother and healthier.
There is minimal downtime and this is an excellent skin care treatment that can be performed prior to a special event for that brighter, healthier look that is better than anything makeup can do. Skin resurfacing also stimulates the elastic tissue beneath the surface of the skin resulting in a more firm appearance to the skin.
